2、Source of isobutane
(1) Exists in petroleum gas,natural gas,and cracked gas.Obtained by separating the C4 fraction produced during the petroleum cracking process.
(2) Using industrial isobutane as raw material(with a content of 82%to 91%),a three-stage adsorption process is employed.First stage adsorber removes C2 C3、Impurities such as n-butane and 1-butene are removed in the secondary adsorber to remove isobutene,and further C2 and C3 hydrocarbon impurities are removed in the tertiary adsorber,resulting in a product purity greater than 99.99%.
(3) Isobutane can also be prepared by isomerization reaction of n-butane.
3、Main purpose
Refrigerant:Isobutane can be used as a refrigerant for refrigerators and air conditioners,replacing traditional fluorocarbons and having environmental advantages.
Gasoline additive:Isobutane can be used to prepare iso octane as a gasoline octane number improver,improving the quality and performance of gasoline.
Compressed gas of spray:used as compressed gas in spray to promote the eruption of spray.
Aerosol product spray promoter:Isobutane is used as a spray promoter in the production of aerosol products such as spray gel,insecticides,etc.
Plastic production:Isobutane is used as a melting agent in the production of polyethylene for plastics.
Chemical raw materials:In the chemical industry,isobutane is used for the production of alkylated gasoline,dehydrogenation to isobutene,steam cracking to produce ethylene and propylene,reaction with formaldehyde to produce butadiene,and co oxidation with propylene to produce epichlorohydrin and tert butanol.
